But even in his moment of servitude, he couldn't escape her wrath. She had used him as a human shield against a group of rebellious followers, sending them fleeing in fear.
The Yokai Goddess chuckled darkly, her amusement tinged with sadism. She knew that her slave would never be free from her grasp, but he also knew that he would never be truly alone as long as he served her. It was a twisted sort of love, one that she had come to accept as her own.
With a flick of her wrist, she dismissed him from her presence, knowing that he would return when summoned. She was content to rest for now, basking in the power that coursed through her veins and reveling in the submissive faces that served as her footrest.
