Ticklish Business in the Boardroom
Katie, a young, ambitious businesswoman, sat in her office feeling nervous but excited. Today was her big chance to impress the board of directors and secure a promotion. She had worked tirelessly to prepare for this meeting, but she never imagined it would end up like this. The door opened, and Melissa, her rival for the promotion, walked in wearing a smug smile.
"Katie, welcome to the boardroom," Melissa said in a singsong voice. Katie tried not to squirm as she noticed the tickler in Melissa's hand. She swallowed hard, knowing what was coming next.
Melissa played with the tickler, running her fingers along the soft bristles. "Now, let's see how much fun we can have here, shall we?" she purred. Katie felt a wave of ticklishness wash over her at the sound of Melissa's voice. It was too late for her to back out now.
"Please don't do this," Katie begged, trying to maintain her composure. Melissa chuckled and began tickling Katie's sides, starting with her ribs and working her way up. Katie let out a high-pitched squeal, unable to control her laughter.
"That's it, Katie," Melissa said, tickling her harder. "Let it all out." Katie's whole body shook with laughter as she grabbed onto the desk for support. The tickler brushed against her armpits, making her squirm even more.
"I can't believe you're doing this," Katie managed to say between gasps for air. Melissa shrugged nonchalantly, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Maybe you'll be more motivated to work harder if you know what it feels like to be ticklish all the time."
Just when Katie thought she couldn't take any more, Melissa stopped tickling her. She stepped back, admiring her handiwork. Katie was a mess—her hair was disheveled, her clothes askew, and there were tears in her eyes.
"This is what you have to look forward to if you want to make it in this company," Melissa said, smirking. "Now, let's see if you have what it takes to handle the real world of business." With that, Melissa left the room, leaving Katie to gather her thoughts and try to compose herself for the board meeting that was about to begin.
