Unwinding with the Divorcé
Minajae slammed the door behind her, her heels clicking on the hardwood floor as she stormed into her friend's living room. She was in no mood to small talk or be polite; she just needed someone to listen to her vent about her recent divorce. Her heart felt like it was being ripped out of her chest every time she thought about the end of her marriage.
"Minajae, sweetheart!" her friend's mother greeted her with a warm smile, unaware of the turmoil brewing inside of her. "I'm so glad you could come over. I was just about to make some tea."
"Tea sounds great, actually," Minajae replied, trying her best to mask the exhaustion in her voice. She took a seat on the plush couch, feeling the cushions sink into the fabric of her pencil skirt.
As her friend's mother busied herself in the kitchen, Minajae let out a deep breath and leaned back into the cushions. Closing her eyes, she tried to clear her mind but found herself reliving every moment of the past few weeks. The betrayal, the hurt, the uncertainty of what lay ahead. It was all too much.
Suddenly, she felt a pair of hands gently massaging her shoulders. Opening her eyes, she saw her friend's son standing over her, a concerned look on his face. "You okay, Minajae?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.
Minajae couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "I'm fine, really. Just a little overwhelmed is all." She turned her head slightly to look at him, taking in his concerned expression. He was always so sweet and thoughtful, even when she was at her worst.
"Hey, you know what might help?" he offered, his hands still massaging her shoulders. "Let's try something new. Something... different."
Minajae raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "Different how?" she asked, intrigued.
Before she could finish her sentence, she felt something warm and soft brush against her leg. Looking down, she saw that he'd knelt down beside her and was now gently rubbing his cheek against her wrinkled sole. "Like this," he replied softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
At first, Minajae was taken aback. This was certainly not something she'd ever expected him to suggest. But as she felt the warmth of his breath against her skin and the gentle rhythm of his cheek against her sole, something inside of her began to melt.
Slowly, she began to relax into the sensation, leaning back into the couch and letting out a long, slow exhale. She closed her eyes, focusing on the sensations coursing through her body. The softness of his cheek against her sole, the warmth of his breath on her skin, the gentle massage of his hands on her shoulders.
For a moment, she forget about her troubles and allowed herself to be consumed by the sensations. She didn't know how long they stayed like that, lost in each other's company and the simple pleasure of human touch. But when she finally opened her eyes, she found him looking up at her with a gentle smile on his face.
"That was... different," she laughed softly, still feeling the warmth spreading through her.
